PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a non-profit organization. Funds raised are for the sole benefit of EAR. It is politically neutral in its aims and activities, recognizing the diversity of nationalities that constitute the school and act in promoting harmony and inclusion in the school community. PTA organizes social and cultural events to bring the school community together, provide support for special events and raise funds to pay for these events and donate excess funds to EAR, working for the benefit of the entire school, Nursery-Grade 12. The parents or legal guardians of students presently enrolled at EAR and in good financial standing with the school are eligible for membership in the PTA. In the association there are the following positions and responsibilities:

President:
Sets meeting agendas and presides over meetings. Provides periodic updates regarding PTA activities through established EAR communication channels.
Vice-President:
Assumes responsibilities of the President when s/he is absent.
Secretary:
Keeps accurate minutes of meetings and maintains PTA archives.
Treasurer:
Keeps accurate records of PTA funds and submits financial reports to membership at monthly meetings.

Books to the Library

The purchase of two collections of books by the well-known American author Maria Dismondy, donated to EAR´s library.

New Sound

PTA is organizing a series of events to raise money for new music equipment for students.

Be Buddies, Not Bullies

Inspire dialogue among parents, students, staff and faculty with special presentations on the importance of combating bullying.
